Marriage~Eddins Brothers and Wilson Sisters

My 4th Great Grandparents, William Eddins and his wife Nancy [last name unknown] lived in Chesterfield County in the late 1790’s and early 1800’s. They had 9 children; 3 sons and 6 daughters.

Their two oldest sons, Williams and Richard married sisters, Hannah and Elizabeth Wilson, daughters of James Wilson and his Lydia wife [last name unknown]. The Wilson lived in neighboring Darlington County, South Carolina.

Both Williams and Richard Eddins, the two first borne sons were married in 1808, Williams Eddins marring Elizabeth Ingram and Richard married Elizabeth Wilson. Sadly, Elizabeth (Ingram) Eddins died about 1828 in Pike County, Alabama. Williams then married Hannah Wilson that same year in Madison County, Alabama.

Williams marriage to Hannah Wilson was short lived. After the birth of two children, Hannah (Wilson) Eddins died.

Williams Eddins then enter into a “Marriage Contract: with the widow Hannah Deaman and they were married on 19 October 1833 in Madison County, Alabama.

As stated above, Elizabeth and Hannah Wilson were the daughters of James and Lydia Wilson. Sometime in early to mid-1830, James Wilson died in Pike County, Alabama. Both Williams and Richard Eddins were named as kinsmen in the James Wilson Probate file.
